1.
There is a tree that's growing taller each year, and when the leaves stop falling new ones will appear. Deep in the night, all is calm. There is no winter. There is no storm.
2.
Don't fall in love too soon even if they ask you to. They're probably as scared as you, so take your time. Don't give in right away. Think before you go and say the wrong thing that will haunt you every single day. Can I change your mind? How could I any way? Don't fall in love too soon, it'll only make a mess of you. Creep up in the night and put a knife into your side. Take off that brand new shirt. You go out and you're going to get hurt. Park the car and walk back inside. Whatever you think you'll find, it's not worth the price. Take my advice. But you're not going to listen. You're on a mission to bury yourself. Don't fall in love too soon, even if they want you to. They're just as confused as you, don't waste your time. Hold on to those regrets, they'll make the best audience as you wait and hold your breath for the rest of your life. Whatever you think you'll find, it's not worth the price. Can I change your mind?

Little lightning I like when you're scared/In a minute we can go back upstairs/'Cause I'm already ready for bed/Clear these thoughts from my head/It's funny how you always find me when I'm down here at the bottom of it Yes, I'm tired but that's nothing new/I can never fall asleep next to you when there's so many things left undone/I don't know where to start/So I lie here awake in the dark listening to your breathing Don't tell me when it's over if that's all right Some things are better when they're a surprise

Madeline 03:20
Madeline don't you leave me by the table like you always meant to make me feel so small. I think you know without saying a single word that you've always had that power over me, ok? Feel it like a cut made by glass bandaged over with sand; that's what it's like to be around you can make enemies out of strangers. Why does every situation have to be so weird? Can we finally leave this all behind us if we really try to take control? I don't know....
5.
Song in a rhythm that only I can keep in a key that you hear when you sleep I'd love to play it but I can hardly breathe. Like a tree that falls in the beginning of spring it's rotted in the middle. Hand me a bottle so I can stay drunk. It won't take much to loosen my tongue. I can tell that the talking's all done. Like a lightning strike on the 4th of July, so much for so little. If I could live forever and do the same things over and over again, would that be happiness or Hell? (the phone is ringing; will you answer it?)
6.
Boo Hoo 02:46
You're not the pivotal point in the plot of anyone's story. You're in the scene we all forgot, you're not important. But I could love you if you wanted. I need a project. Singing the saddest songs of your life, but when were they written? It doesn't matter at this point, you're not forgiven! But I can see it in your eyes. You're really trying. (No one likes it when you're honest) You're not qualified to play the cop or the victim. You learned your lines right away, but you don't have the rhythm. If someone told you this was love, I think they were lying. And just like that, you're gone in a flash. You can't reattach the head to the body.
7.
Ghoul 03:32
Please don't talk that way about me in front of him. He doesn't possess the proper context to put me in. Don't cut me off, I still have a voice that sings. I made the wrong choice about almost everything. You came at me like a ghoul hungry for blood but all you could draw out of me was bile. And it's true, time can be cruel but even a fool can be right once in a while. Here's the honest part: I don't think you're really all that smart. This song wasn't written to hurt you, but if it does then it must be a little bit true. You came at me like a ghoul looking for blood but all you could draw out of me was bile. And it's true, life can be cruel but even a fool can be right once in a while. You want some memories? I can write them down for you. But if it's something more I'm afraid there's nothing I can do. Oh it's only been fifteen years who cares? I've got the time. I could easily go another fifty years, maybe more. You came at me like a ghoul looking for blood but all you could draw out of me was bile. And it's true time can be cruel but I still thought I could see you once in a while. Once in a while.
8.
When you called, I was sleeping. You woke me up from a very bad dream. I should have picked up to thank you, but I don't take any more calls from your name. Now I'm feeling all right, yes I'm thinking clear. I can't remember any other time. If anyone said that you're on my mind, that's a lie. Of course, I like to see you. But I have to learn to fight off those urges. It would only take a couple of minutes until we started getting on each other's nerves. Now I'm feeling all right, yes I'm thinking clear. I can't remember any other way. If anyone said that you're on my mind, that's a lie is what I'd say.
